I was in the mood for some Texas Chainsaw Massacre but this is the only one that Netflix had which is weird because it's the newest one and usually they have older movies first. This movie was really great when it comes to re-makes. Now I have seen one or two of these movies, but I really want to jump in and see the old ones which for some reason I can never find anywhere (hopefully soon to come!!) In ths one, the white trash family is slaughtered by the town's rednecks except for a baby which is taken and raised by one of them. When she receives a letter that she has inherited a house from her family, she discovers the truth behind her past and who her "parents" really are. As her friends are slaughtered, she learns of a secret man with a chainsaw living in the basement of the house and fights for her life against not only him but the redneck townspeople who are out to finish what they had started. As far as effects and make up go, this one is spot on. The movie has what you typically see in horror movies which is sex, violence and gore. Great movie, really. I'm giving this one a four.
