This is the second installation of the most recent re-make of the Planet of the Apes movies. This movie takes place ten years after the original re-make and at the beginning you see that a disease has whiped out most of civilization. The super smart apes have colonized in the woods and have been living their lives to the fullest. When humans stumble upon their colony in an attempt to find a source of power for their town, an ape is shot on accident. The apes threaten the humans that they are to not come near their colony or there will be a war. The humans come back to try again, Caesar (the leader of the apes) agrees to help them and let them do their business. One of the other apes gets paranoid that the humans are plotting to attack them so he takes initiative and shoots Caeser blaming it on the humans. A huge war ensues between the apes and the humans with many lives being lost. The good humans who had made friends with the apes revive Caesar and work together to end the war. I am probably going to enrage a lot of people with this, but I really enjoyed this movie. Keep in mind that I have never seen the originals so cut me some slack! I gave this movie a four because it was just so full of action and storyline. I even like that they touched on the first movie a little by returning to Caesar's old house. Great movie.
