Movie - The Langoliers (1995)

This is another one of Stephen King's long movies. This one is about three hours long (which is short if you look at The Stand). The movie starts with a plane full of people on a flight, but all of the passengers who were alseep wake up to an almost empty plane (no pilot either!) Luckily an off duty pilot was sleeping on the plane and is able to lower the plane to the nearest airport. When the plane lands, there is nobody around anywhere and all of their senses have been dulled (food tastes bad and sounds are dull). One of the passengers starts to lose his mind and hallucinate and starts to attack and kill the other passengers including a blind girl who has a gift for seeing certain things. The blind girl (after she is stabbed) informs everyone else that they need this man to save them all. The passengers realize that they must have gone through a time rift in the sky and decide to try to go back through it to take them back to their original time. The crazy man leads away what are called the langoliers just in time to save everyone. The passengers all go to sleep and pass through the rift once again and go back to their original time as originally planned. The movie is really good despite how long it is although the Langoliers themselve were extremely badly animated into the movie. You'd think they could afford some better animation at this point being as it is 1995. I gave this movie a four.
