This was a rather crazy movie that started out very slow. The movie follows a shamed reporter who was trying to regain her reputation by writing the story of a lifetime. She follows a mystery behind disappearances of multiple people who all visited the same country and their luggage mysteriously appearing back at the airport months later. She tricks her employer into thinking she is taking her intern to a different location to research a "boring" story but instead takes her intern and her boyfriend to investigate the disappearances (which means nobody actually knows where they are). The group finds much more than they bargained for when the two girls look upon an evil statue in the middle of the fog. A group of religious fanatics capture the three of them and try to murder the two women. The movie is ultimately about the devil possessing anyone who looks upon the statue and you really don't find that out until around the end of the movie. The movie, in my opinion, was great and I really loved the amount of suspense and mystery around the situation. They really do leave you guessing on what will happen next the whole movie. I gave this one a four. Great movie!
Oh and I think Nemesis is in the movie too haha. Am I right?
