Movie - House II

So I never in a million years thought they would ever make a sequel to the first one since it was pretty terrible. This movie I would not even call a sequel at all; they really should have just gave this a completely alternate title as neither movie has anything even remotely in common. In this movie we follow a young man and his companions as they dig up the grave of his great ancestor. The man ends up still being alive and they spend the whole movie partying with him and fighting cowboy demons from the past. The whole movie is just bad... so bad. I will strongly give this movie a one.

Movie - House

I think the only real word for this movie is "weird". The movie is about a vietnam veteran (Roger) who left his friend in the war to get captured and tortured rather than ending his life for him. The guy ends up coming back in an alternate universe as a zombie to kidnap Roger's child for revenge. Roger returns to the house in which this happens after his aunt passes away and fights the house to get his son back. The whole movie is just strange and doesn't really make sense half the time but it is kind of enjoyable to watch. I will give this one a three.

Movie - Flowers In the Attic (2014)

I have mixed feelings on this movie. I am surprised they actually remade this movie to be honest as the original movie was not all that great. I do, however, like the remake better than the original. So the story is about a mother of four whose husband passes away. Once he dies she can no longer afford to take care of the children so she makes a deal with her estranged mother to have them stay there until her husband dies. Due to the nature of the mother's marriage (she married her uncle pretty much), her children are to be kept a secret. The children are kept in the attic for over two years and begin getting sick and (disgustingly) sleeping with each other. I think that's the big reason why everyone knows this movie, because it's the movie where the brother and sister are kept in the attic and end up sleeping with each other. That's the part I feel kind of iffy about. It really kind of makes me sick to see that kind of thing in a movie, but it is what it is. The movie overall is okay, but not amazing though there are a few well known actresses in the movie. I'll give this a three out of five.

Movie - Devil's Due

I am not sure why I enjoy exorcism movies, but I do. I am not anti-religious or anything like that, just can appreciate a good movie. The movie is pretty much another Paranormal Activity to be honest which is why I like it so much. The movie portrays a couple on their honeymoon who end up getting drugged and have a devil ceremony performed on them. Once the couple gets home, they realize that the wife is now pregnant. Little does she know that she is pregnant with a demon child. So like in all exorcism movies, the wife gets all crazy, the husband tries to get her help, exorcisms are attempted, and then pretty much everyone dies. Stereotypical? Yes. But I'm still giving this a four because I like these movies and I like that this was filmed in first person view.

Movie - Blended

I am going to start off by saying that I am not a huge Adam Sandler fan in the least bit so I was very hesitant when going to see this movie. The movie is about a blind date gone wrong that ends up resulting into a pretty amazing relationship. Adam Sandler plays a serious role as a recently widowed husband with three daughters and Drew Barrymore plays a recently divorced woman with three sons. They end up going on an African vacation together in a bizarre turn of events and end up becoming the perfect (and large) family. It was nice seeing Adam in a serious role and I think he could really be a good actor if he follows through with this type of acting more often. I give this movie a four out of five as I really enjoyed watching it.
